At the back of our sanctuary is our EUMC family Christmas tree. Over the years members have purchased personalized ornaments to be placed on the tree. We invite anyone who has not put an ornament on the tree yet to do so. Just purchase an ornament that has your family’s names on it and hang it on the tree. After Christmas we will store the ornament and pull it out each year to decorate our family tree.

Thank you to everyone who picked up angel tags for the Toys for Angels program. Please remove all tags or blackout the UPC codes on the gifts. Gifts should be placed in a Christmas bag. Do not wrap them. Return the gifts with the angel tag attached to the bag to the church by Sunday, December 15.

On Sunday, December 15, a WPA Conference special offering will be collected. The Doorways to Hope at Home offering supports the following conference regional mission agencies: Erie Alliance, Johnstown Human Services, Connellsville Area Community Ministries, WPA Prison Outreach Ministry, Greater Pittsburgh Ministries, and Eastbrook Mission Barn. These missions extend the love of Christ to those who need shelter, food, clothing, and loving care within Western PA. A special envelope will be provided in your bulletin next week for your gift.

This Advent season take time each day to prepare your heart for the celebration of God’s gift of the birth of our Lord and Savior. Advent devotional booklets are available on each of the bulletin tables for you to take home and use. Each day’s devotion includes a recommended Scripture reading, a Bible verse, an inspiring message, and an uplifting prayer. Please take one devotional per household. May your journey through this Advent season be filled with the hope and anticipation we have through Jesus Christ.

Christmas Musical

This year’s Christmas musical is entitled A Tree Lot Christmas. It is a creative way to lead into the Christmas message. We invite everyone to come to the Christmas musical on Sunday, December 15, at 6 p.m. in the fellowship rooms of the church. Following the performance there will be a cookie fellowship.

Cookies Needed

We are asking for volunteers to provide cookies for our fellowship after the musical. If you can donate a dozen or more cookies, please sign the sheet on the counter outside the office. Thank you!

Christmas Musical Dress Rehearsal

On Saturday, December 14, at 9:30 a.m. we will hold our dress rehearsal for the Christmas musical. Anyone in the musical should plan on attending.

EUM Families for Missions will meet on Thursday, December 12, at 6:00 p.m. Subway sandwiches, chips, and drinks will be provided for our meal.  If you would like, please bring a side dish or dessert.

We will be packing our Christmas care boxes (15 of them) at the meeting and ask that everyone brings a dozen cookies to be included in the boxes.  Anyone who would like to bring other items to include is welcome to do so just make sure to bring 15.  If you have any questions on what is already being provided, see Tracy Clark or Karen Heckman.  All are invited to join us!

I have heard of some interest in another Red Bird Mission Trip.  So let’s have a meeting on Sunday, December 15, after church to see who is interested and when you would like to go.  We will meet briefly at 12:00 noon.  If you can’t make the meeting but would like to go to Kentucky this summer, please let me know.  Thank you!

The nursery will be opened and staffed during the worship service for children in preschool and younger.  The nursery is located on the children's floor (upstairs) in the second room on the right.  All you need to do is drop off your children before the worship service begins and then pick them up after the service.  We are happy to help serve you and your infant or toddler in this way!
