KIDZ ZONE FRIENDS & FAMILY PICNIC

A Kidz Zone Friends and Family Picnic will be held on Wednesday, September 19, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the church pavilion. Please invite any families you know to join us for food, games, and a fun lesson. See Holly Girty if you have any questions.

 

KIDZ ZONE LITTLES NEWS - Pennies for St. Jude’s

Our Kidz Zone Littles group is saving pennies for St. Jude’s Hospital again this year as a mission project. If you would like to donate pennies to our project, please see Carol Leathem.

    

Bottle Caps Needed

Our Kidz Zone Littles are collecting plastic bottle caps for a picture project. We are in need of all sizes and colors of caps. See Carol Leathem if you have any questions.

 

CHURCH CONFERENCE COMING OCTOBER 8th

We have been asked to host the church conference for several churches in this area on Monday, October 8. We will meet downstairs. Lay leaders & pastors will meet at 6:00 p.m. with the D.S. The rest of the church will meet at 7:00 p.m. for devotions by the District Superintendent, business matters, and communion. Refreshments will be served.

Donations & Helpers Needed: We are asking for donations of cookies, fruits, & veggies along with helpers for the night of church conference. A sign-up sheet is on the counter by the office if you would like to donate or help.

 

COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING CHORAL SERVICE PRACTICE & MEETING

Sun., September 16 at 2 PM        Brookville First UMC

A community Thanksgiving Choral Service is planned for Friday, November 16 at 7 p.m. at Brookville First United Methodist Church. TICK & LYME DISEASE SEMINAR

BIBLE STUDY

There are two opportunities to attend a weekly Bible study with the pastor. The Wednesday evening study will meet each week at 7:30 PM and the Thursday morning study will meet at 10:00 AM. All are welcome!

TUTORING CENTER MENTORS NEEDED

The Brookville YMCA is opening a new tutoring center and is looking for mentors to be at the center as a positive presence to students, while offering some homework help. The center will open in September and is for students and adults, kindergarten and older. Please see flyers on the church bulletin board for more info.

KIDZ ZONE

As you get back into the routine of the school year, don’t forget to invite any kids you know to our Kidz Zone & Kidz Zone Littles. All children age 2 thru 6th grade are welcome! We meet downstairs on Wednesday nights from 6:00-7:30.

    

CHOIR PRACTICE

Do you enjoy singing and praising the Lord? If so, come and join our choir! Choir practice is held the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. Hope to see you there!

 

 

Recording Ministry

The church records the worship services on CD.  CDs are available to be signed out behind the counter by the church office.

   

Let Us Pray

A time of prayer is held each Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. in the prayer room for anyone who would like to participate.

     

Nursery

The nursery will be opened and staffed during the worship service for children in preschool and younger.  The nursery is located on the children's floor (upstairs) in the second room on the right.  All you need to do is drop off your children before the worship service begins and then pick them up after the service.  We are happy to help serve you and your infant or toddler in this way!
        
       
Children's Church
Children's Church is for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Each Sunday the children will be dismissed from the sanctuary after the children's message and will return to the sanctuary before the end of the worship service.
