We celebrate the caring organizations, which enrich in the region and are great partners in the shared values of caring,  healing and supporting.  Check them out and join in where your gifts, passions and abilities can contribute to the well-  being of others.  It is a great way to meet new friends from many walks of life who have a heart for service, too.  For    more information about Brookville, PA at http://brookvillechamber.com/

Volunteers are vital to the existence of PASSAGES, Inc.  Providing Prevention And Services for Sexual Assault Through Guidance, Empowerment, and Support
The agency would be unable to provide many of the services it does without the help and commitment of our volunteers.  Opportunities which are available as a PASSAGES, Inc. volunteer are as follows:
  • Provide medical accompaniment after business hours to sexual assault survivors at our local hospitals.
  • Provide accompaniment after business hours to sexual assault survivors at local police stations.
  • Provide hotline crisis counseling/coverage during business hours when needed.
  • Assist prevention education staff with educational programming when needed.
  • Assist with fundraising projects/events.
  •  Assist agency staff with community-wide events and public relations activities.
  • Provide general office duties
All volunteers must complete our Direct Service Training before assisting our staff with these opportunities.  The training is offered 2-3 times/year.

Trucker/Traveler Ministry

www.pachurches.org/ministries/truckertraveler-ministry/

As part of its mission statement to “share this Good News with our neighbors in words and deeds,” the Pennsylvania Council of Churches reaches out to our neighbors who travel the interstate highways of Pennsylvania.  The ministry offers             what the needs are for the traveler: emergency assistance, a listening ear, and the good news of Jesus Christ.
