About Us

The Brookville Evangelical United Methodist Church is part of the Western PA United Methodist Conference. This conference is made up of about 800 local churches in 23 counties. It serves as a connection between the worldwide United Methodist Church and the congregations in the region. Led by Bishop Cynthia Moore-KoiKoi, the Conference is governed both by the denomination's Book of Discipline and actions agreed on by clergy and lay representatives of its local churches who meet each in an Annual Conference session. Bishop Koi-Koi is assisted by a cabinet of 10 district superintendents, who each oversee 60 to 70 churches in a geographic area within the Conference, and a Conference staff.

What We Believe
As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness. To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
The United Methodist Church is a 12.3-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds and open doors through active engagement with our world.
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. This emphasis on what Wesley referred to as "practical divinity" has continued to be a hallmark of United Methodism today.  We invite you to learn more about our rich theological heritage:  http://www.umc.org/what-we-believe
